Description

These vintage-inspired T-bar cupboard handles are made from solid brass and come in Antique Bronze or Gold. Each handle is a straight round bar that passes through a square-edged collar on top of each of its two rectangular posts, with the bar ends projecting past each post.

The Antique Bronze pieces show fine streaked lines across the surface, as pictured.

Use them as vintage brass cupboard handles on kitchen cupboards and bespoke furniture, or as brass drawer handles on a chest of drawers; they also serve as brass wardrobe handles on tall wardrobe doors. The T-bar knob suits bedside table drawers and kitchen wall cupboards.

The brass T-bar handles come in 96mm, 128mm, 160mm, 224mm or 320mm hole centres, and both finishes are offered in every size. The 160mm cupboard handles, for example, measure 186mm overall, while the 320mm size measures 346mm. The Single Hole option is a matching T-bar knob: a short round bar crossing one rectangular post.

Size guide

Measure your handles

Hole centres and overall length are two different measurements. Here’s how to check both for a handle with two fixing holes.

01 For the right fit

Hole centres (Centre to centre)

Measure from the centre of one fixing hole to the centre of the other. Use a ruler marked in millimetres.

Centre to centre

Replacing existing handles? Match the distance between the centres of the holes already in your door or drawer.

02 For the overall size

Overall length

Measure the full length of the handle, from one end to the other. This tells you how much space it takes up.

End to end

Check the space available. Handles with the same hole centres can have different overall lengths.

Diagrams show a two-fixing handle from the back. For handles with three or more fixing holes, check every fixing position in the product’s dimension drawing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the existing holes when replacing my handles?

If you're replacing a handle with the same fixing method, check that the new handle's hole centres match the existing holes. Cupboard doors and drawers may have different hole spacing, so check both before ordering. See our Size Guide for help with measuring.

What if the screws are too long or too short for my door or drawer?

Door and drawer front thicknesses vary, so the supplied screws may not suit every installation. Check the fixing details in What's Included & Installation. If you need a different length, make sure the replacement screws have the correct thread for your chosen handle.

Should I use the same handle length throughout my kitchen?

You can use one length throughout, or mix lengths within the same design. Longer handles are an option for wide drawers and tall cupboard doors. Before choosing, mark out the overall length on your furniture with masking tape to compare the proportions. For existing holes, check the hole centres first.

Will the colour match my taps or other hardware?

Finishes with the same name can look different across products and brands. A brass or gold finish may be warmer, paler or more yellow than your existing fittings. For the closest match, choose the same colour from the same collection. If you're matching another brand, compare a physical sample in the room where it will be used.

What are the handles made from, and how do I look after them?

Check Specifications for the material used in your chosen design. A gold or bronze colour does not necessarily mean solid brass. For routine dusting, use a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Care requirements vary by finish; contact us for advice on a particular finish or how it wears over time.

How do I know whether a handle will be comfortable to use?

Check the shape and side view, including the space available for your fingers. For an edge pull, consider how you'll reach and grip it on the door or drawer. Allow enough clearance from nearby doors, walls and worktops. A product sample can help you judge the feel before ordering a full set.

Can I request a sample before ordering for the whole kitchen?

Yes. Contact us with the product, colour and your delivery postcode. We'll confirm availability, cost and delivery before you pay. Ask for a product sample if you want to check the weight and grip as well as the colour. A finish swatch won't show how the handle feels in use. See our Samples page for details.
