A physical sample can help when you are comparing a hardware finish with cabinetry, paint, worktops or other fittings.
How sample requests work
Samples are currently handled by request rather than through the online catalogue. Availability, price and delivery depend on the product, finish and type of sample. We will confirm those details before asking you to pay.
Use our Contact page and include:
- the product or finish you want to review;
- the number of samples required;
- whether the request is for a home or trade project;
- your delivery postcode; and
- your required date, if the project has a deadline.
What a sample can show
A sample is useful for reviewing colour, surface texture and how a finish responds to the light in your room. A finish swatch may not show the size, weight, projection or grip of the final product. Ask for a product sample if those details matter.
Finish variation
Screen colours are only a guide. There may also be reasonable variation between a sample and the final product because of production batches, material variation or the way a finish is applied. A living finish is intended to change with handling, cleaning, air and time.
For larger or repeated orders, tell us if finish consistency is important so the request can be reviewed before ordering.
Samples are not final specifications
Do not use a finish swatch to set drilling dimensions or installation clearances. Check the final product page, specification and fitting information before ordering or drilling furniture.
Trade sample requests
Trade customers should include their business name and project details. Sample charges, credits or return arrangements apply only if we confirm them in writing for that request. Visit the Trade Programme for account enquiries.
